Went 2 the mechanic this morning just 2 check my brakes on the crappadoor. Front brakes are getting low, backs were ok and he pointed out a few things that needed doing, few bushes, oil leak etc..
Went to fix him up for his time and he said don't worry about it
Got 2 be happy with that :)
Is your nose growing. That can't possibly be true.
Mate take him home and keep him. LOL
He's a keeper for sure , and his business is called ,,,,,,,,,,,,,?
Watching a catch up yesterday arvo. The Off road Adventure Show, they panned around Kidmans Camp at Bourke and there was our Patrol, a whole second of fame. Made us happy anyway.
It's Sharee's birthday today. First one with our little family.
Took the wife and kids to the Werribee open range Zoo. What a magic day weather wise. We got there early, walked into one of the bandicoot enclosures. The dark rooms where they make it night so they all come out. All the lights were on and a worker was cleaning the cages. She said this enclosure was closed but as she left the door unlocked she gave us a close encounter with the bandicoots and a Tawny frog mouth owl. The kids loved it. Then my oldest daughter had another, booked, close encounter with the Serval's, an african cat. She got to feed and pat them etc etc. She was soooo excited.
Bloody good zoo this. second time this year we have been. The bus tour around the park is good, apart from the idiots who don't listen to the rules and make as much noise as they possibly can when asked to be quiet through some sections. But good. We got real close, around three feet from the White Rhinos and Giraffes.
Had a wonderful day not thinking about work.
Good to take mind off things for a bit and definitely good to spend some quality time with the family mate.
Onwards and upwards.
Another 10mm of Rain and it looks like more storms on the way
All Rainwater Tanks are now full
Also
I got ECUTalk (Laptop) working on the Patrol. Now just have to learn how to drive it LOL
Mines plugged in all the time easy as to swap, just unplug it
The rain has topped up the water tank to about half full and the water doesn't smell anymore, so we can use it.
New struts for the bonnet: $25
Not teaching the kids new swear words when the bonnet hits me in the back of the head: priceless
I have no idea why I didn't do this 2 years ago.

Got my car tuned by jpc and have my dyno results. .. happy days and onwards and upwards !!!
Oh and I am sick as a dog..lol
I have a charcoal filter on the kitchen tap. The problem is the underground pipes from the house to the tank, which I will re-plumb when funds are available. Having the shop vac to clean out the rotting sediment has stopped the smell too.
Getting a text from AB at 2.04AM this morning! That made me happy! Not.
what were you doing awake at that hour,
unless they are cut in half and need a kidney it can wait till the morning
Doc told me today that im not gunna drop dead from a heart attack, all my arteries and what not are good as gold. Got high BP so will need tabs. I asked him "Right if I sit in Thailand on a beach and get drunk for a month straight, will I drop dead and piss me wife off because of the BP thing. He says NUP go ya hardest highly unlikely my heart will stop. YAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY, my annual binge is safe :)

Finally arrived back home and seeing the family!
Great to be home folks, loving it :)
Home from hospital today with the wife and our baby boy introduced him to our 2 dogs, young william looks like he will have 2 furry best friends now. Mum and Bub are great feeding and sleeping well. And our unit sold in 4 days on the market for only $500 less than I said I would take so im happy indeed. I feel so grown up right now haha
life is a Cabaret eh Macca good stuff,
good to also see your dogs enjoy their new playmate
Congrats mate.
That reminds me of when we brought my first born home, the dog sat nearby trying to get a good squiz. Once they were 'introduced' the dog slept next to the cot for the next 6 months, wouldn't let the little fella out of his sight.
They're still good mates 8 years later, although the dog is starting to show his age :(
I just had a guy turn up at my front door and hand me my digital camera (in it's case and spare battery) which I didn't even know was missing. He found it at a round about 2kms away on Sunday. Think I may have placed it on the bullbar of my car and forgot to take it inside, and it fell off.
Interesting is how he found me, on one of the pictures was a parcel I sent interstate (which I took as proof of sending) and he was able to zoom onto the return address.
He wasn't interested in a reward, just said it was a good deed and pay it forwards.
How was that!
Just finished for the day, its been in the office for 2 days.
I hate it and don't know how people spend their working lives at a desk.
Anyway I'm going to the shed for a beer and look at my Nissan while I drink it!
Happy happy happy.
Now you've made me depressed, spent 55 hours in the office last week and looking at a similar time this week. At least next week i have off but the work will be piled up when i get back.
Oh and no overtime, anything over the 37.5hrs is out of the goodness of my heart.
Got my CFA turnout gear today, so I'm ready for callouts now =)
Finally found the source of the coolant smell. The recovery tank had the smallest crack in it on the bottom and was only leaking ever so little. Its been like this since the day I got it and could never find it. No signs of leaking coolant anywhere to find. I got pissed off and pulled everything apart til' I found it. And I did.
