Yes, it's finally arrived, well it arrived last week so I played with it and it fitted perfectly, not too noisey, but just noisey enough to make passers by wonder what's going on!
I had to go and wash after I finished fitting & playing with it.

Solar panel showed up on Friday morning. Surprising I thought it would have been bigger, glad I was wrong. Cable is made to look thicker, but it's the insulation that's thick.

Upgraded from the basic silver tent to the coleman darkroom tent (so I can snooze in the arvos without needing the hat over my head:) ) https://www.greatescapecamping.com.a...-darkroom-tent
Having to buy a few things to get ready for my 8 week trip to the cape so this week I have bought a 1500w inverter, Victron MPPT solar regulator, adjustable draglink for the Patrol and new brake calipers for the Camper. Pulled the 2nd battery out to move it back and found it. Explains a clunk I have in the car. Lucky I'm still running the ht18 and it wouldn't pull the skin off a rice custard. lol
Putting the second battery in the cargo area now.
Brought a Superior engineering rear tower brace [bolt on]
happy with the deal I received,
Next is a trip to brown Davis to fit my bash plate
again a good deal so very happy

Emergency Tyre Valves.
Do you carry any? I'm asking because I thought I did until I realised today that the ones I've been carrying require the tyre to be taken, at least partially, off the rim ........ & I don't carry tyre removal equipment, just 3 spares covering both Tvan & tow vehicle. (Also carry puncture repair kit for tubeless tyres).
However I thought I would post about a product I found online & which I ordered this evening in case others think it may be useful for them - replacement tyre valves which can be easily inserted, without tools, from the outside of the rim without any need to remove the tyre! I'd never seen them before. Colby Valves have been available for about 2 years now, but only from the USA where they are made. Just under $60 for two via Amazon or more via ebay Aus. Not cheap, but with travel in remote areas in the offing, it only needs to 'save' us once to pay for itself.

Anyway if interested check out Colby Valves
& a youtube video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9aZyDsprFw
@Cuppa I thought you had a TPMS wouldnt you just carry the valve centres and the tool to remove them.
I have Valve caps that change colour with differing pressure @Clunk still going strong sitting on green.
Might get a proper TPMS when I change tyres next. those Colby valves look the part.
I always get who ever changes my tyres to fit the shortest rubber valve stem they can, save getting them broken by sticks or rocks
ICOM IC-400Pro 80 channel UHF, programming cable to suit, pair Colby valves ex USA
Same same on the Colby Valves, thanks heaps Cuppa! http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...018/04/136.jpg Chose the extra short ones that need a socket or spanner to nip up.

I'm looking at this and trying to work out how you fit them? Do you fit them with the tyre either deflated or off???
If you rip off a valve stem, you just need to push the tyre in where the valve stem is and wiggle a new stem in from within, you don't have to take the tyre off the rim or is my memory from the early 80s when I used to this so way out of line now????
When the time comes to get new tyres I'll consider drilling second holes in the rims just for the valve mounted TPMS, plus will fit short metal valve stems. Until then I'm stuck with rubber valve stems with the TPMS sensors screwed onto them ......... which potentially could get torn off in tight scrub. Hence the Colby's.
I had colour changing valve caps once. Can't recall the brand, but not cheapies. 3 out of 4 developed slow leaks & the company didn't want to know.
Wot cuppa said...
Rip out whats left if anything of the old stem.
Fit the new one from the outside and nip down wingnut or nut to seal.
Inflate as normal
No need to remove the wheel or dismount the tyre or break the bead and... ipso facto... no hassles trying to reseat the bead to inflate
Both clocks date from 1885, both in perfect working order I have the brass lion and ladys head to put
on the one where thery are missing but so many little jobs to do.
They are called Ansonia or nick named a insomnia they do strike but that sends you crazy after a while.
If you like western movies you will normally see one in the back ground somewhere

Bought a 4 season 2 man tent today, ready for this years snow season camping adventures. Going to try this instead of the Darche swag and stretcher and see how it compares. Its a Coleman Helios Exponent X2, claims to have been tested satisfactorily on Everest, but who knows. The reviews seem fine though and construction appears similar to the other high performance tents .

Also bought a spare winch gearbox engagement lever for the rear winch. After the last trip which had its share of rear end thumps, it became obvious the winch could sustain impact damage if unlucky, and a smashed actuation lever could be all thats between a recovery or a long wait. Damn expensive (Warn 15000lb) but insurance.
