Yeah our HWS died soon after we bought the place. I did the ring around and quotes were from $1100 to $1400! WTF! for a remove and refit? So I did the research, found a local plumbing supplies actually had the new version on my unit on special, usually $899, they had it for $700. So I bought it, took it home and fitted the fecker myself. Two wall support brackets, and three fittings need to be undone and then done up in total. Took me about an hour to do.Quote:

I suspect they are losing revenue from correspondence outside of their control and review. Makes it very hard sometimes to find out about something without talking to the seller/buyer I reckon. By the time you factor in the mining, refining, manufacture, packaging, transport, storage, retail and the petrol needed to pick up and return with the new equipment, I think we would be making a way bigger carbon footprint in the end.Quote:
