Darren's seemed to hold up really well in our insane tornado camp at Orroroo that night though. I guess in high winds you should use all the guy ropes to pull it tight.
You'll love the swag though mate.

4 Yokohama GO15 All Terrains for the 62 :)
Second hand 40L waeco with case and cables in new condition for $250
Finally ordered some coil tower reinforcement - BOSS coil tower brace.
Good bit of kit mate. Easy to install too. Fitted mine a while ago now for a piece of mind.

I bought a pair of Genuine free wheeling hubs. Not that I could afford it right now, but, after the chinese one self destructed, and the cock snot company who I bought it from seem to have gone quiet after I contacted them, and my spare OEM autos are really up to scratch anymore, I really had didn't want to buy another chinese set and I have to replace them.
Bought a Kincrome 68 piece nutsert kit to fix the snorkel to the passenger pillar. Got the kit that goes up to M10 and in a handy plastic box so I will not lose the bit!
I would imagine it to be quite a lot better. I have run 35s for years with standard hubs and never had an issue. The old GQ use to cop a hiding as it was basically setup as a play rig and its hubs still worked as per normal. Never saw any wear to cause alarm and I had it apart quite a few times doing wheel bearings and seals cos I would torture them.
One of my OEM hubs has been jamming up recently. Once I have locked it I have to use pliers to unlock it. I'm yet to pull it apart and check it out.

I bought a Joolca ensuite shower tent. I've been waiting and hoping they'd change it from the bright blue colour, but no luck, so blue it is!
This thing goes up pretty easy and will offer us some privacy when camped near others. It seems like pretty good quality, but time and use will tell. I also bought the hose and shower rose kit that can stay in the tent when it is folded up, this will make it pretty quick and easy to setup for overnighters only. I'll get my glind heat exchanger and thermostatic mixing valve set up in the patrol this weekend, ready for a 6 week trip departing next weekend
Yesterday I ordered some kevlar sleeves for my firestone coil rite bags. Quoted price from some re-sellers $170+. Direct from airbag man $75. Also got the correct spacers for my lift. Only ordered after lunch and arrived today.... QLD address on the invoice sent to Vic not bad delivery time. Highly recommend the service there, online chat was good and then on the phone no fuss and knew there products.

I also finally ordered this week some gas bonnet struts off eBay. I should have done that 5 years ago as it would have saved a few head knocks, a lot of pain in the arse stuffing around and an iPad screen.

Changed insurance cover to Forum Sponsor 'Club 4x4' for agreed value policy. Very happy with premium and service, cover superior to previous insurance taken out when the engine conversion completed.
Bought myself a new Dremel portable gas soldering iron ..........
I bought a supercheap air compressor. Simply as a donor for the 8L airtank and pressure switch for an on board air setup. Pulled the motor off and looks like a great fit under the cab next to chassis rail. All for less than buying an airtank alone.

Driving the Patrol down the freeway today and noticed while under power the car was crabbing. Felt really weird. Anyhow I found the rear lower control arm bushes flogged right out. Not having any in stock I thought I'll just get them on eBay. Blackburn Nissan were the cheapest at $106 for a set of four. Then with the discount code from eBay, I got $30 off the final price. Good win for today.
