Any TD42 bits for sale Paul?;)
Paid someone to adjust tappets, replace front wheel bearings, and re-adjust exhaust so it doesnt hit the rear tyre anymore.
Just need some one to fix gas.......
Pulled my injectors out to get them rebuilt. Got a bit excited after reading the 2.8t supplement manual and cleaned the little filter inside the banjo bolt on the injector pump. Also replaced the fuel filter......now to put it all back together tomorrow.
Drilled drain holes in the swing arms of spare wheel carrier and rust killed, changed oil and moved reverse camera.
Paid it off, one less bill to look forward to
Time to sell the ute and get a truck lol
finishing the last of my fat beats, 5 amps later. 3 subs 6 speakers.

Considering the doors are sound proofed and the floor is sound deadened, its pretty safe to say the system cranks.
fitted a uhf and rhino racks today, will get onto the awning and maybe rooftop tent tomorrow...heading off next week got to get my arse into gear
well that's it for now...lightbar Wednesday night hopefully...still undecided if rooftop stays there.
Chased the excessive squeal to two broken exhaust manifold studs... This is going to be fun.

Shouldnt be to bad.. looks like an easy job, grab a can of nutcraker spay lubricant and a set of ezy out bits.
can use this mob
In Melbourne there's a mobile service (Thread Doctor, I think) for this sort of thing. Costs about $20 to remove a broken bolt/stud and put in a thread insert

received lightbar today and fitted during work.....ready to hit the road tomorrow now...have a couple of hours work to do and then we're off..
should be eating chilli mudcrab by Tuesday
Re-positioned the ATF cooler for better airflow. Now to find some steep hills to test it all out and decide whether or not I need to also fit a fan.
Finally got around to putting the Dynamat Extreme and Focal BAM in the doors and rear quarters..much much quieter now..wired up the driving lights..but they got to go as hi beam drowns them out lol started making the new plate to hold my diff breathers, enlarged the hole in the firewall (where the clutch would go through on a manual) so that that I could run all my wiring into the cab and made a new cover plate for it..
Next is to work out where the 24-12v reducer is going and to make a new bracket to hold my phone cradle..
Made the twin battery tray for the 24v bank to go in the footwell behind the passenger seat yesterday. After doing all the welding then grinding it all down and realising I have achieved Fark all penetration I turned the bloody welder up and do the whole thing again!
Got a little more to do to it today then its ready to mount.
Bring on a 24v Himount!! Hell yes we will!!
What's a 24V hi mount motor worth?
Surely if the speed and power doubles the current draw would stay the same. Half current draw would be same speed and power. Surely?
Electric motors also have induced currents (Generated by the magnetism inside the windings), which oppose the supply current. Higher supply voltages over come these opposing currents to an extent. MR won't quite achieve double speed or power, but it will certainly go a lot better.
It will also draw far less 24v Amps and given the massive increase in Line Speed of the winch the Max Current draw will be less for far less time making a 55amp 24v Alternator plenty of output.
The trade off is an isolated 24v charging and storage system on a 12v Car.
Flogged it hard ;-)
Taz you have fun cleaning that I've just spent 4 hrs cleaning the young fellas patrol tray after he spent 5 minutes in some quality black soil mud .
