I can't believe you guys go to all these cool places, take some pics then... forget where you were so bad you have to put the pics up here and ask other people to help figure out where you were.
(I know, I know, but I'm late for a meeting and its all I got)
would that be the stirling range
is it in WA?
Nope, not WA
Is it the Grampians?
If you can wait another couple of hours, I'll get home and put something up.
Sorry for the delay. Some awesome thunderstorms.
As usual, the question is... Where is it?

Not too sure where it is, but looks like New South somewhere. . . Wherever it is, looks like a cool place :) . . .
Echo point. Blue mountains?
Not blue mountains.
Have to agree with rossco, that 1st photo looks like magnificent.
Staircase looks like Kings Canyon NT ?? (a bit green though)
It’s not somewhere that I recognise, but does look like the NE NSW/ SE Qld region.
a granite mountain some where near the Glasshouse mountains??
It would be misleading for me to say it was the top end of Australia...
It is on the east coast, and a fairly high point that can be spotted from around the state.
Is it on the Sth coast of NSW, I think perhaps Morton National park.
High point down there may be Pigeon House Mountain.
Well it's not Moreton national park. I had to look Moreton up myself. Apparently I've been there too.
But it's fairly close to Moreton.
Atherton tablelands
Is it inland a short way from Ulludulla??
around Yadboro NSW ???
Not Atherton.
Ova nearly has it pinned.
Doesn't leave too many places.
You are making me work hard.
Are you after the State Forest name or town.
Town might be Milton (please say yes)
Name of the mound of dirt and rocks (hill/mountain) in the pic.
The Castle, Budawang Range ???
No
Tencharacters
Braidwood but thats only 9 GGRRrrrrrr
Where's Cuppa?
You have stumped me.
Hopefully the guys from around the Sth Coast will know it.
I have only been to the area a few times.
I really thought the stairs in the photo were at Pigeon House.
George Boyd lookout?
Well it is pigeon house mountain! But this is the first time you mentioned it.
Pigeon house mountain can be seen on a clear day (with binoculars) from some of the high spots around Canberra. It was named because the top looks like a... Pigeon house.
So for others that haven't been up: you can get to it a few ways. The first is south of burrill Lake (near burrill pines motel/camp ground. Great place to stay BTW!) The other way is North of Milton (which is just north of Ulladulla.)
Nice dirt road drive that any car can do to the bottom car park.
The walk has 3 or 4 distinct sections.
First is steep uphill (2km as a rough estimate).
Then 2km of flat easy.
Then more uphill/steps.
Then the 'new' (last 10 years) steps to the top.
Some days you get a clear view, other days are pure fog. The castle is easily seen from the top.
Don't try any fancy alternate routes in the way down, and you'll arrive back at the car park.
