Plan is get snorkel and airbox done @ Millweld, booked in 2nd of Oct I think. Then just need to sort out piping from airbox to turbo and just hook up to existing safari intercooler and piping from there. Rotate the housing down and that side of things will hopefully work. Pump should be good in theory but then get it down to dieseltec once all done see how it comes up.

Got the new (eBay second hand) bar on today. After my doubts it came up really good, have given it little touch ups but will get it powder coated once i fix up the rock sliders and get them since too. Thinking about lashing out and getting some scrub bars while it's in with millweld too this week ore next maybe. .
Sits dead level on the car now so are very happy, the old one was rooted and is in pieces now. Chopped the middle bar, aerial mount and a couple of other brackets off to make one good one. Also put some mounts in for some spot lights which will just fit in with the high mount with a bit of a massage i think. . .http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum.../2017/10/5.jpghttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum.../2017/10/6.jpghttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum.../2017/10/7.jpg

Looks great Rossco.
Good point, we'll see how it goes. Never really have a problem with it and kinda figure it will be similar to spotlights and relay box for a low mount which is what i was originally running without too many dramas. Spotties will be a litte more forward which might help maybe . .

I reckon you will be fine Rossco. There is plenty of room around the lights - not like you are sheeting off the entire radiator! Having said that though, I took mine off and went the light bars to open up the radiator, but my engine choice is renowned for running hot in Patrols. Worst case you install the spotties and they have to come off.
Got the sliders back on and some mudflaps. Had to readjust because of body lift but sliders were dodgy from new and I never found the time to go back and return or get them fixed so stocked to finally have them mounted up using all mounts now ! !
Going to drop it off @ Millweld tomorrow and pick it up at the end of the week. Might throw some camping gear in the car and head up to the mountains for a day or two if all goes to plan and its ready. Anyone's welcome to come I'd they like. . http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...2017/10/41.jpg

Picked up the Golden Pricess from Millweld and is shinier than ever, looks awesome ☺
Very happy could not recommended millweld enough, great service awsome work and very reasonable.
New snorkel & airbox - looks good just going to try and swap the 4 inch ram head to a 3.5 which goes inside and doesn't look as massive. Scrub bars, sliders & arb bar freshly sandblasted and powder coated. Dimple dies in sliders look wicked I reckon . . .
Just up @ Whitfield (made it out of mansfield! ) heading up to lake cobbler and poke around the mountains for a couple of days. . . Life's tough. .

Looks awesome Rossco :-)
Be careful putting the smaller ramhead inside though, it may not drain properly.
Have a great weekend, stay safe mate!
Very nice Rossco. I see what you mean about the ram head - it is huge, whereas mine is kind of absorbed by the roofrack so does not look out of place. What @MB said, I don't think you can inside the tube either as it will not drain. Is that the Safari head or the Donaldson?
Yep they are the ones we bent up.
Rossco saw them at my house and said with those glassed eyes, what umm are you ummm doing with those?
Bloody good bloke I am!!

Yeah cheers guys love em came up really well.
Yeah not sure about the draining thing, this airbox has a fancy drain valve but i guess you want to avoid it first? Millie said he uses those so guess they should be right? . . .

Just got back from a pretty wicked couple of days in the bush, took heaps of picies will put a few up a bit later. Far out what a cracker of a weekend weather wise even managed to get in a swim or two. Suprisingly there was still a bit of snow around in the mountain peaks. . .
Back to the scrub bars lol. They came up friggn awsome Mill said they were real good. Cheers again, should go into business Dazzweld has a good ring to it I reckon [emoji28] . . .

Rossco, you are a freak! Love your work !
That is all
................on the road
If you're travelling from Mansfield to Whitfield on the Whitfield rd there is powers lookout on the right and just before it is Boggy Creek track on the left ,any Hema or VMS show the track, should also be on any decent map of the area .
Follow that track till you come to the lake , great camping ,great fishing and 99 times out of a hundred you'll get a big sambar sprint past you on the track .
Good to see them now supplying their 4" snorkels with a 4" ram head. I'd stick with the one you got full advantage of the airflow, water can run down the outside of the pipe and the 4" head actually has a better mounting option
Valid reasons seen tonight for the body swap Rossco ;-) New shell and a massive effort is awesome mate :-) (Your pics below for memories) http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...017/10/121.jpg GQ Sun-Roofs are cool :-) http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...017/10/122.jpg Nasty stuff found by the ‘Mad Axe Bushman’ http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...017/10/123.jpghttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...017/10/124.jpghttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...017/10/125.jpghttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...017/10/126.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/ A ...07f9504a38.jpg

Wow! Thats some rust!
Was pretty cool looking inside the roof and was pretty bad in there. Don't think I would have thought of using an axe to chop a car up but works well. . . New business - Christmas Hills sunroof installations [emoji28]

From the outside you would never know it was that bad. I think mine is worse than that :(
Yeah pretty scary. . . Thinking how it starts, obviously keeping it out of the weather helps a lot but in theory water / moisture shouldn't get in the roof from the outside the only way in is through the headlining. Probably a good idea to make sure never leave wet stuff in the car too. Also not a bad idea to fish oil or similar from the inside. . . would smell nice ☺

Took a day off and got the GQ over to KSR auto air and got the air con up & running. Only needed gas, pressure tested, no big leaks new gas and works a treat - icy as.
Also dropped into southern cross canvas and sussed out a custom awning which sounds pretty good. Going to go a separate side and rear awning which can join together and mount of aluminum track on the roof rack. Sorry @AB may have stolen this idea lol. . .
Got rid of the old cab couple of weeks back for scrap. Few pics. .
Chop chop, c ya rusty GQ ☺ . . .

Ah yeah that makes sense.
The axe was @MB's idea and worked a treat. Can't believe how easy it sliced through it, just needed some grinder work through pillars. If you've got an enemy you want to get square with, axe and a few minuets will have a car in half i reckon, certainly was fun.
Yeah Christmas Hills Sunroof & Ute conversions coming up ☺ . . .
