And the Gawler Rangers NP would be fine on your own with care.
Now having seen the tracks you could take a camper in there to one of the camp sites then see the rest of the park without it. It isn't extreme driving but due diligence and care is always the ticket.
A bit of a positive to come from the trip..
Most of the stock intercoolers showed leaks with the fine dust,
And Andrews broken radiator mount got us all inspecting and finding some issues with worn out or perished top rubber mounts..
Now to find replacements. .

Thanks for the replies.
Have a couple of mates that would do the trip but getting all together is an issue at times.
Brought the Mrs out from Ireland in 2001 and other than the regular tourist drives staying at Big 4's she's hardly seen the country.
Might be time she went without a proper shower for a few days.
MY PICS OF OUR AWESOME SA MEET-UP
I know it been a week but better late than never!!
We went with Ibbo to the camp ground before the others and got to see the Rock in the afternoon.
Once set up we climbed and the view was spectacular!

Can see how much the farmers have to crop!! Was a great advantage point.
We watched the guy go up and back a few times!

Oh NO!!! Every drivers nightmare...a break down!

The vehicle was left to set with the first patch job attempt.
This lead to a night drive that everyone jumped at the idea.
As we had the roof top tent on and all set up we stayed at camp with Tegan to keep the fire going for the guys to cook their dinner on when they got back.
The next day the second patch job worked.
This then sent us all looking under our bonnets to see if we had potentially the same problem.

Looking back over the park. By this time it had started to rain and as we have been here in the wet before I was feeling a little nervous.
If it continued to rain the road would turn into a skating rink in no time and we would all be passengers!!
But good fortune for us the rain didn't last.

We all gathered at the Shearing shed and had lunch.
Then it was time for us to go our way home and the rest to continue on to the next camp site.
Was a great trip and hope we can get together again and do another one.
My camera hasn't turned up. Dont see how it could have been lost at last camp Kallen as one of you blokes would have seen it before you left.
Anyway on a positive note i replaced my radio aerial some time ago and have had terrible radio reception ever since. I have thought it may be due to poor contact but have not got around to pulling it all apart again to clean up. Tried the radio when got home from this trip and it works beautifully! I think all those corrugations rubbed the contacts clean. Those corrugations were good for something!

Hi Ibbo
Maybe you did my favourite trick and left the camera on the bull bar!! (I left my phone/camera there on this trip!!) I've done this more times than I would like to remember over the years!
Did you get your camera out when we had the last group photo and lined up the Patrols?
Maybe you could give the Rangers a call and ask them to have a look on the side of the road.
Where we had the pics was not far from the Accommodation so it should not be too hard to find our photo shoot spot!
That sucks bloke. I always find things like that at the bottom of my sleeping bag the next time I use it.
Hmmm camera in the sleeping bag ???
I had an epiphany this morning and realised only place i not looked for camera was in my camp chair. Sure enough it folded up in there. Seems i am a special kind of stupid also. But relieved stupid. Sorry for the hassle and thanks for the suggestions.

Since I got the camera back I may as well share some photos of my slightly longer trip. Have not put photo's up before so will see how this goes..

The last supper (turn your head to the side). After which I put my camera in my chair pocket and promptly forgot about it thereby entering the SKS club.
Happy days.
Thanks mate - good pics!
Good pics Ibbo. BE PROUD OF YOUR SKS MEMBERSHIP.
I am.
Thanks Ibbo Great pics.
Really glad you found your camera. Much better to find it in the camp chair than the sleeping bag as suggested to be a place to check!! hahaha
Loving the photos guys.. Hopefully i'll be in a position to make the next trip that is planned!
