.....on the move
Full supermarket and anything else needed to keep you happy!!!!!
Well my attendance is looking a bit shaky, really been looking forwards to this meetup and catching up with a few. I'll make every effort to attend the Saturday afternoon and may even bring two grand-kids along. I've been keeping positive for the last four weeks so not going to change now.
I've posted the following in the 'Angry' thread.
Four weeks ago I woke in excruciating pain, enough to have me rolling on the cold bathroom floor. Quick trip to hospital and a couple of morphine doses found me comfortable enough to have a CT scan which confirmed I had a 7mm kidney stone stuck just outside my left kidney. Because of the location I went on a course of medication for two weeks to try to get it to move into a safer position for removal. The medication was made up of some potent pain killers and something to relax and expand my ureter. Other than make me nauseous and light headed for about six hours each day it didn't help move the stone.
Last week I had another CT scan, Xrays and another barrage of tests and the stone hasn't moved at all. Now I'm booked in for surgery this Wednesday and still on the medication.
Still not sure what option they will use, I'll find out after the CT scan on the morning. Looks like whatever option they use I'll have a stent installed for a fortnight and the removal of that is going to be a whole different experience.
In life I've been pretty much bomb proof, only real surgery I've had was the removal of my appendix (removed at 7:30pm and went home next day at noon). Been looking forwards to the meetup on Saturday and I'm staying positive that I'll be out of hospital and able to attend on the Saturday afternoon.
oh wow mate watched my old man go through a kidney stone not very pleasant at all.
hope you can make it for a catch up. good luck.
Krisso yep plenty got a coles with grog shop or over the road is a pub n bottle shop to. if that doesn't fix ya up within 30 mins we have about 3 othwr towns with full supermarkets even a larger shopping centre so no issues with any of that. I'm sure the coles or pub will be plenty though
Not long now. Looking forward to catching up and meeting new faces!
I'm horrible with names. Will be interesting how many names and forum names I remember. Lol
Forum name tags on shirts anyone ?
Sent from my S4 using Forum Runner
hahaha I suggested that to Andy at one of the last meetups.
I'll be wearing a pink carnation. ..
At this stage we won't be staying the night, but will try to. Hoping on getting there early on Saturday morning with my brother in law and 4 kids, we have the babysitting duties while the ladies are out, 13-8 years old.
Lucus30 I'll bring your battery tray down as well.
Looking forward to it.
its always fun meeting forum people for the first time, and it actually feels weird to call them by their real names... kinda like you introduce yourself by your real name and the other bloke goes "who?" and you say "rusty_nail" and they go "ahhhh, makes sense now" and then you are just known by your forum name, its odd but strangely natural... if all that makes sense...
Meat has been ordered so we are up and running...
So that's dunny and meat whats next?
