Brought one of these camp oven bags for my alloy camp oven,
little tip if your camp oven has feet ,,,, cut a circle of ply or similar
to protect the bottom from getting holes from the feet. Or maybe some thick cardboard
This is their 9qrt one
Edit they even have bags for waffle irons etc
G`day Tony
Nail polish has its uses especially on a petrol engine.
Many years ago we were racing a Super Modified at Warrnambool and after an altercation with some one we ended up with a cracked distributor cap
Wife`s, sorry girlfriend back then nail polish to the rescue. Stopped the high voltage tracking through the crack and we completed the meet.
Ps don't use the one with glitter in it.
Bought a CC top mount cooler kit and a TD05 20g. next is cutting the bonnet (any secrets?) and getting a dc6 pump. :icon_driving:
finish install on the faulty viper alarm :furious:
complete the engineers cert for the lift and tyres
Busy busy
Bought my wife some happiness, (I was out for most of the day).
My youngest son dropped in late this afternoon and has bought me a snorkel.
Don't know when I will get it installed.

This arrived this morning nice clear view driving into sunrise this morning.
very happy for the price
I had one similar a few months back but the perspex was all wavey.
This one is nice and clear, no hesitation using it, I also brought one for the passenger
as you can see it tucks up against the visor, folds forward.
I like it, picture taken from back seat
middle pic is green visor only
Right pic is both green and yellow visor,
but you can remove very easyly
Bought a new steering coupling as the old one is cracked. Will get a gu steering box in the near future and fit it all up.
4 x Cooper ST 285/75/R16's with probably just under half the tread on them for $150! Getting 4 new sunnies for them and they will be my roadies so I don't kill my 315 KM2's...
Gotta love it. My previous roadies I paid $399 for the five with rims around 18months ago. Done 50k on them and sold them last week for $400!!!! So they cost me nothing to run on....
I missed out on a great set on Coopers today but they were for 17's, 5 sold for under $200 with atleast 70percent tread, as I was contemplating getting some GUIV alloys. Not now....
Finally scored a maxtrax rear wheel carrier for the Simmo trip now I won't have to think of some other way to carry them.
I made a set of pins for a local bloke which go threw the holes on the tracks and mount to the roof rack sides.
He wanted his welded but no reason why you couldn't simply drill a hole threw top rail and use a long bolt.
Just drill a hole in the end for a ring pin or R clip or padlock to hold em on with and a bit or the foam floor matting spiked over the mounts behind the tracks to stop vibrations..

His were the green tracks, mounted above his rear passengers door..
@ Kallen theres a project for you Tracks carrier using the rear wheel carrier, similar to the old Hi-lift holders.
Telescope some RHS and away you go,
I got it yesterday. Oh well.
Hopefully I will never need to use this.....but don't we all say that about all recovery gear.
On a side note I got to meet threedogs, what a top guy and he knows his stuff too.

Back at you Jay Cee , John will be a great asset to the Forum I'm sure
Married with a young family just old enough to get out there for some wheeling and camping.
Another great bloke,
And a nice looking Patrol just waiting to be modded as well.
ps ditch the dickie seats and store them.LOL
Maybe next time we go camping and she will see how much room we loss. Besides I'm not to fussed about that looking forward to other mods.
Bought a handheld radio with a bullbar mounted antennae so I can monitor channel 10 on the Simpson and the channel we use or use one as a scanner.
Snicko you don't need another antennae but the one I bought had one with it so I just fitted it up, it was a 4.5 db one for close range hilly conditions so you can pick up over the Sandhills, my other one has a 6.5 db for longer range stuff on the flat.
If you get one just a 3db will be fine but you will need and adaptor to fit into your flexi antennae hole to the fitting on the cable.
Brought some 3mm Dyneema rope today, even this small its good for 1200KG
amazing.
Its for a new product I'm working on
Bought and install new steering damper.
Bought a superior steering damper protection plate, all I can say is wow much better than the one I currently have more coverage under the car so happy with that.
Bought two new earthing straps...one for the chassis to body under the drivers side(connected to the body at the sidestep mounts) and one from the body firewall under the bonnet to the engine block. Lights are a lot brighter, engine runs smoother and interior light nearly blinds me!
Ferrets rear light bracket arrived today. Just waiting for the light from LED Light Co, and the rest of the dual battery setup, then I'll put it all together!
