I took a couple of dozen shots and I only got two that were decent. Problem I had was that the oil tended to "clump" unless I swirled it to make it form drops like you can see, which then presented a focusing problem because of the lack of light. As it was, I was using a slow shutter speed and high ISO to get this. I'm going to build (sometime) a lightbox that will use RGB led strips as a light source. The light source on this image was a couple of fluros with diffusers. The colour is from a towel placed under the pyrex bowl that contained the water and oil. The other reasonable shot is a totally different colour to this one but doesn't look as sharp to me..... But as I said, it's good fun..... :)Quote:
