If the seller said the motor is good then it is good. Get excited!
I have a Fuel filter thingy ;) when I was chasing my fuel problem I bought one from a wreckers. Swapped them out but did not fix the problem so it went in the spares. Can't remember what I paid? My left Nut from memory!! Be happy to sell it to you for a fraction of my left Nut
Thanks Daz.
What are they worth??????
I have almost no budget until the ride on or engine sells as I refuse to use the house money for anything.. trying to be smart about my spending.
Great being broke and doing a conversion...LOL
Fully reco power steering pump from patrol a part is $390 if you have a core to exchange you get $100 back, just swapped mine out before trip as it was starting to get hard to steer when cold and at idle still worked though. Just need to send back before 2 months for credit, which I must do!!
Like said before man I am home all morn once I have dropped the kids off so if you need a hand thought the week it let me know man and what is happening bout the rebuild and are we all helping or are you going to be stubborn and and do it all yourself again.

Im in the process of doing this conversion
I bought a dead td42, rebuilt it using turbo internals, turbo squinters(longer) up graded oil pump and turbo pistons.
I built it but got the machine work done else where.
as I wasn't out for massive numbers im using a rebuilt HT18 with to4e internals. cost me 500 dollars
I managed to find a GU td42 factory turbo manifold for 150 dollars.
the most expensive part of my build was the injector pump and injectors, I sent mine over to nsw to a guy who rebuilt my standard 10mm with an 11mm plunger and added a boost compensator. not to mention completely rebuilt my injectors for my turbo set up. this all cost me 2200.
clutch cost me 600(safari).
my cross road is finding a top mount cooler that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
its a very easy conversion to do. as people have said you'll need a bell housing, vacuumed res, starter and alternator, ps pump. it Is better to buy a complete motor and just put it in. your fuel tanks and line will all work with this set up. just make sure you remove all fuel from the tank and clean it thoroughly .
factor in a exhaust aswell
Curious why everyone keeps telling me I need a vacuum canister.
The TB42E has one, is there a difference surely not??
