Im trying to find my old longhorn ranger. Apparently made by buck but $20 cheaper when I bought it 27years ago for $60 or $80 cant remember now. The handles long stuffed and ive put it into a piece of antler

Ok, I've started..

Free handed the grind on the linisher at work.. Come up ok.
Am now polishing the blade.
Will use some 8mm ply as the handle, and put some finger groves in it for a little shape..
Blade is 120 long, 4mm L6 steel.
Got some 6mm stainless Rod at home for the pins.

Will need to invest in a belt grinder and furnaces..

I feel better ive just seen some cheap (and expensive) bucks. 27 years ago before the net we were held to ransom here in good ol Aussie for anything from OS

i will see if i can find mine its been so long since i had it out, will get some pics of the buck and a ww2 samuri sword the old man bought back.

Yes the knife as well :)

Found the sword but having trouble finding the buck, will look more on the weekend.
