timing belt

does the td42t have a timing belt or a chain to drive the camshaft and injection pump.

I'm fairly sure the TD42 has timing gears(no chain or belt) but I am prepared to be corrected by the guys here who know heaps more about these things than me.

i hope your right because in the service book says 100k change the belt i suspect they are refering to the 3ltr anyway i have done 140k i might phone arb i have spent plenty of money there.

I might have lead you on a bum steer, what model is your TD42, I based my information on a GQ model TD42.

3lt runs a chain and gear setup.
