GU III pulling to the left

had the GU III a couple of weeks
It pulls slightly to the left on normal roads.
I have searched Google, and it appears to be quite a common problem.
Solutions range from replacing offset pins with different degrees of offset, to driving on the right hand side of the road camber....
This does actually work, when overtaking the wheel corrects itself beautifully on the wrong side of the road. Maybe it is set up for RH side driving. Though I can't think this would be so.

Just wondering if anyone else has this problem, and maybe a solution.
Thought about lowering the RH side tyre pressure marginally and increasing the LH side to provide a differential in drag to offset the pull to the left
Is that thinking outside the square, or what..

Are the wheel bearings ok king pin bearings ok no mud stuck or caught in the wheel an uneven brake shoe

The truck is in pretty good nick and there is no wear, don't think it has done much offroading, and there is no mud (not yet anyway)
Good idea to check these thing though

I will look into this also
I'll try swapping tyres around first and go from there, then check toe in and then look at buying offset bearings or a draglink
It feels wrong having to pull on the wheel all the time, even slightly,
It would have to increase tyre wear over time.

Hey John, nah mate I had a leaking axle seal as well so took the opportunity to get that done at the same time, just could not be shagged. Plus the king pin bearing race can be a bugger so I gave it to a bloke to do.

It was actually his call to fit them and he had done many, he was able to then make the adjustment necessary given that it is variable.

Your problem is not a Toe problem but rather a neutral camber setting that can't deal with the significant camber on roads in Australia. A drag link will help with your alignment if you have a lift. They are actually mainly used to straighten the bloody steering wheel though. It really won't sort your problem out though. Didn't fix mine.

This is a very common problem but not to every Patrol! Lots of then though and Nissan should fit this camber kit for free instead of trying to blame round abouts for the tyre scrub.

Fit the kit and get them to do the alignment adjustment to the camber while they are at it. It's a cheap and affective fix.

Checked the tyre pressures to start off with, (first time since I bought it) found both front tyres to be 39 psi they should be 29.
So fixed that pronto.
That has improved the pull marginally, Then I tried putting 34 psi in the left side and leaving the right side at 29.
That made it a bit better again, but not enough. I have noticed the front right tyre is feathering the tread on the right hand edge. I guess this will be due to the fact I am constantly pulling the car to the right to keep it straight.
Looks like the camber kit and drag link will be the go,

Further Developments..
A couple of weeks ago I swapped the wheels around and put the best ones at the front. This improved the pull to the left slightly, but not enough to be happy.
A couple of days ago, while driving in the wet, I heard a noisy front wheel bearing on the front left.
Bought a new kit and fitted it today.
Took the bus for a drive to check it out (like you do) and guess what.... The pull to the left has disappeared.. Bloody fantastic.

before I took the wheel off, I also noticed it was also a bit loose ( Wobbling on the axle)
So I figured the bearing was causing a bit of drag, and also being loose has probably changed the camber enough to have an effect.

To be honest, I could not imagine the car would ever have come out of the factory, with a pull to the left, so logically it would indicate that something has changed since then.
That change was a faulty wheel bearing.
So, Problem fixed....Yeah..
