TD42Ti engine on a cradle - some questions needed.

I've taken my TD42Ti out of my ute and I built a cradle for it with the gearbox attached to it.
TPS has been removed when I upgraded to 12mm pump

I want to be able to start it and turn it off.

I still have the engine wiring loom but not the rest of loom such as fusebox etc.

I have Carter lift pump with hose into jerry can hooked to the fuel primer.

I just need to setup switch for the carter lift pump to turn on/off - I can sort that
Starting the engine shouldn't be an issue but any advice would be greatly appreicated. I'd like to setup a switch to turn it on.
And a way to turn the motor off.

I am doing some benchmarking and doing some work on the TD42Ti over the next few weeks and would like to run it every now and then.

So any ideas?

When I had the body off my GQ chop, I just ran a jumper from battery to glow plug rail, and a jumper to IP solenoid and a jumper to the lift pump, then used one of the push button external starter cable to crank it over. It was on a 6.5 Chev diesel, which is agriculture simple but it worked fine, disconnection was easy with jumper cable end clips or similar. Lift pump operation won't be an issue with the engine not running, you can drop the glow plugs off the same way, straight forward

I've got most of it sorted out, I'd had completely forgotten about the glow plug rail. I've made an plug to the IP solenoid which I can attach 12v to using alligator clip or jumper.
