Has anyone put a gu 3lt intercooler into a gq td42?
I can get a gu 3lt i/c for next to nothing and was wondering if it can be done?
If possible what bits need changing to fit?
Mines got a dts turbo kit and gu 3lt airbox.

Personally never heard of it transplanted before Deano mate!
Have owned a GU ZD before and found it truly super zippy/fast! Would imagine your light GQ beast would honestly off the mark freaking fly, although dollar wise and reselling might hinder a final choice maybe, good bloke!
Who knows, could be a well sort after truck and double $$ for ya hopefully mate!

I assume yo just mean the top mount cooler off a ZD yeah? I think they are the same as the TD Top mount and you could certainly make it fit.Quote:

Yeah,meant just the intercooler.
Any bits and pieces need changing to make it fit?
Also,does the bonnet scoop need altering to match the gq bonnet as the centre of bonnet isn't flat like the gu
