Don't go too slimline as the water tends to drip inside the vehicle - found this out on my GQ and wished i had gone for a wider/deeper profile. No advantage on the move either as the wind is still significant into the vehicle with the window down a little bit. I remember the big old window deflectors and the ol' man would have the window down on the XW falcon and be smoking away and nothing came into the car, smoke, wind or water, ah memories!
Had both, prefer the slimline..... Especially when the car is bogged and you cant open the doors..... Only way out is the windows
Had the genuine slim Line tinted ones on both of my GUs. Work great never had issues.
The only gripe is... They might protect from wind and weather when window is slightly open.
But they create serious air noise.
When driving against some head wind it's like a jet engine outside your window.

Got the full size deflectors. No wind noise and can have the windows cracked. Only prob they make mirror work difficult. Pros and cons.
Edit, mostly passenger side mirror obstruction. Reversing trailer a biatch for vision.
full size make it difficult if you need to stick your head out the window to look backwards.
I have tinted slimline , just need to crack the back window down an inch and all is good.
@Hodge mine make no noise at hwy speed maybe check how you mounted them.
I think the small ones for the rear doors are great at camp to keep the air flowing inside the
Patrol keeping temps down a bit for the fridge
