Wire it up to a relay that energises when Ign is "on".
Wiper motor is a good spot or any of the Ign On fuses in the Fuse Box
ok thanks but wipers come on accessories I don't want it on accessories, just when the car is running

Oops my bad... just saw GQ in the title (GU is different)... grab any "Hot on Start or On" feed off the Fuse box to switch the relay.

Yeah I just tried it definitely comes on acc
They do.
I think the op is wanting it to only run while the motor is actually running. Easy to do with a pressure switch and oil pressure.
