Well the old grenade has just gone bang! So after a bit of thinking i have decided as i have no plans of selling the old girl im going to convert it over to the good old td42 with aftermarket turbo kit.

And now the fun begins,removing the shrapnel, i have to admit the old zd30 can be a good engine,I've had mine for 10yrs and only had a dual mass fly wheel & turbo manifold gasket fail,and thats it,and 278000k's.

Picked the engine up today looks good,who said toyotas aren't handy☺

Yeah going to have a crack,done lots of mazda rotary & 4cyl conversions, this is my first diesel,will get some help with wiring from a sparky.
