Rear Drawers With Cargo Barrier

Hi guys and gals.

I've got a 2011 GU patrol and it already has a full height Milford cargo barrier in the back but I'm looking to get a set of drawers.
Ive been looking at the Titan drawers from 4WD Supercentre coz they are quite cheap but i don't know if they will fit with the barrier.
Does anyone know if they will fit with the barrier or does anybody know of any drawers that do fit with a full height barrier or am i better off getting rid of the full barrier and going for a half barrier and a then it should be easier for the drawers to fit.

Hi Cass, That is what I have in my 2006 GU and had to move the barrier forward about an inch to get make the Titan drawers fit.

Hey mate. Mudski here recently got the Titan drawers and he has the full cargo barrier. From memory he just extended the bottom brackets for the cargo barrier? If he sees this he will reply.

cheers guys. yea there seems to be a bit of a gap between the back of the rear seats and the cargo barrier so im hoping i can just move the barrier forward enough so they fit. Because as far as i see you cant really go wrong with the price of those drawers.
Btw Hodge i just saw the thread on your 4.2 GU and i gotta say. that is one good looking rig.

Mudski is all over it that is what I had to do. I used the long bracket that came with the barrier and drilled a hole once I was happy it was back far enough. :)

On the money mate. I just made longer brackets for thelower mounts. Longer by about 30mm i think. Does the Milford barrier curve with the contour of the seat or is it straight? My barrier is curved. Not sure on what brand it is though.

You could always chop the barrier and mount it to the top of the draws

my barrier curves with the seat. so all you did was get some flat bar and make it so that the barrier gets pushed forward at the bottom?
also how did you go with where the bolts are for the bottom mounts of the barrier because im guessing that the drawers will sit straight on top of them and they sit up a bit proud off of the floor?

I put the Titan draws in 2004 GU. Just got some flat steel and extended a bit on the bottom brackets. Took about 10 minutes to do. Draws were surprisingly good quality. Did not have to change the top brackets..
Good luck. Side wings were tight though.

Yeah some 25mm wide bar from bunnings mate. Unbolted the bottom section pushed the barrier forward, measured the difference and made new bars to suit. As for the bolts. They pull down into the carpet enough for the drawers to sit on top.
