Turbo gone!
Huge thanks to the fella who just towed the trol up hunchy for me. Don't think his 4.2 knew my boat anchor was behind it.
Reasonably sure turbo seal gone. Was sending smoke signals so big the Iranian army rang to help.
So. 2.8 turbo options. Needs to be cheap as I've just decided I'm getting a 4.2 but need the bloody thing going asap.
What are your wonderful recommendations?

If you are going to do a TD42t and just need it going, you could always just gut the turbo so it will effectively be an N/A engine. I've never done it on a diesel, but I've done it on a 13B, I pulled the compressor and turbine off then removed the shaft and blocked the hole for the shaft. It will take some time but will cost you virtually nothing, but you will effectively have a 2.8 normally aspirated turbo.

it goes backwards as it lol - cant imagine how slow it would go after no turbo haha
