Hey guys i am looking to pickup some 2nd hand roof racks to fit on my high roof safari, but am struggling to find some that are high enough or not super expensive.
Can anyone recommend some other model gutter mount racks that would fit on my safari with minimal modification?

can only think of a hi-roof 60s , have a look at the Rhino range of racks.
Some of the Telecom vans may have the height you need
Looks like they take the Rhino Rack RL280, seems to be common to a lot of vans and Disco's.

there is a company based in Africa called Front Runner
I know that they do stuff for the high roof
we can get them in the UK (where there are sod all patrols)
so i hope you can get them in Aus
