Not sure what you mean by 4 post.
If there are only 2 wires, it doesn't matter how you wire them. 1 will go to earth and other will action the solenoid. A bit like a relay where you can swap 85/86 and it still works.
You should have your vacuum hoses fitted so opening the solenoid sends the vacuum to lock the diff and switch it off sends the vacuum to unlock. This way, you don't have the solenoid powered all the time when you don't need the diff locked.
With no power to the solenoid, you should be able to suck from one side to the other. That should be used as the unlock vacuum.
It would be wise to add a LED to tell you when it's locked so you don't forget and bugger it on a hard road.
For info, factory diff lock checks road speed and sets off an alarm above 20 km/h.
Thanks mate... works a treat.
At first I could not figure out why it was not working and then some investigating I discovered something simple......... I fuse, helps if you put one in !!
Now I have a working rear locker but think I need a secondary switch in case I have a blonde moment and turn it on by mistake while belting down the freeway.
At least with my air locker I have to turn the compressor on before operating the front locker.
On my Ti I can't engage the diff lock without 4WD engaged. It shouldn't be too hard to get a signal from the transfer case.
You'd only really need it in 4WD anyway.
If you hit the switch while running down the highway it's likely to be the end of it.
You could use one of those "missile" switches with the cover you have to lift up to operate the toggle switch below.
Maybe pick up the signal from the 4X4 engage light and use it as an interlock.
On the GU8 you have to be in low range for the factory locker to engage.

I think i will run it via the compressor switch that was it is all tied in together.
Thanks for the advice chaps
