Engine light/ power loss

Hi all , update on my engine light coming on & intermittent power loss - done all manner of things then the other night ( long story short ) I decided to bypass the main filter housing to eliminate that as an issue , put a Ryco steel inline filter in & touch wood has NOT played up at all - that was 4 weeks ago & it's still pulling like a 14 yo with the lingerie section of the Kmart catalogue, When I get a spare 5 mins I'll try & pull the filter housing to bits & see what's going on in there . - yes have changed several filters . When it's turned off I could push down the primer ONCE then it was rock hard - a few mates with the same engine say they have to prime theirs a dozen times before it goes hard so I thought there might be something goin on in there ......

So you may have a dud filter head by the looks of it? Well done for finding the issue. I know how much this was doing your head in too.
