Hi Chaps am new today and currently in a 2010 Pajero RX but have been looking at trading on a new Patrol Y61 ST as they seem to have a good special on with loads of extras at present. Anyone have a view on the current model compared with say the 3.2 DT Pajero NS?

Can't comment on pajero. But i love my 2014 Y61.
Had it eight months and the only issues i hafe had were botched DIY jobs.
Well have committed to the purchase, with all the extras the deal was just too good to pass up.
G'day mate and welcome aboard. Having not owned either I can't really comment but I one thing I can say after driving my old mans petrol 2003 Pajero and my brothers 2006 ZD30 Patrol, I found that the Pajero had far better road manners than the Patrol, but that will be down to the unibody construction and all round independant suspension. You may feel that the Patrol might be somewhat agricultural compared to the Pajero but then again, you may not.
At the end of the day, it just boils down to what your intended purpose is......... best bet is to get out there and give it a damn good test drive.

Nice to be back in a Patrol. May not be as high end as others but it will certinaly run rings around everthing else off road

Still happy with my 2014 Titanium Y61 after stepping out of two 120 V6 Prados. It sits on the same cruising speeds as the Prados but just doesn't get there as fast. Great off road.
