Putting my foot in it
After sitting around with friends who own Nissan Patrols talking about their latest trip to Yacandanda, a mate and I might have suggested that we could probably out drive them in the forest. After putting our foot in it, we were "politely" told to back it up with action. So, we went out and purchased a 89 GQ 4.2 diesel with 410,000 k's / 2inch body / 2 inch spring lift / 31 muddies on near new tyres / almost new clutch / no oil leaks / dual batteries / snorkel / cb / bull bar / racing seats.

Welcome mate. Well you can't go wrong with that as a starter that's for sure.

Cheers, it's a bit rough on the edges; but it's perfect for what we need. Hopefully next week we will have it registered, and take it for a spin and start learning the fine art of 4wding.

After work last night, we stripped the interior and high pressure hosed the inside. Re-wired the Central locking / cb and radio, bolted on the bull bar, installed the driving lights, removed the old tint, sprayed the rims black and fixed bits and pieces of the trim. Just got to install the extended rear brake line tonight and tomorrow I should have it roadworthied fingers crossed.
