Gq gear box

Hi fellas just wondering if all td42 GQs run the same manual box. Wondering if a 1990 would fit in my 93.

Yes will fit. May have additional sensors on the newer box, but nothing major.

Hey Parksy, I have heard the 1992 onwards gearbox was changed, twin synchros in first and second. Do you know any thing about this? Cheers

Haven't heard this before bushy but I'll see if I can find anything out regarding this.

Pulled a 1992 tb42e box apart and from what I can see there's no dual syncros. But they are bloody big gears. This explains the slow gear shifts.
