would i need to fit the nads to my 2010 3l?
I'd fit a boost and egt gauge so you can see what it is doing, then go from there
You don't need the nads for any Patrol. The nads is a mod, like pretty much any mod, it will improve your ride. There are many who don't do it, and many who do. I have seen first hand the difference of the before and afters. Like any mod. Its only going to make things better.
hi Mudski, quick question..i want to fit dawse and needle valve.(2010 CRD)what I want to know is it nessecary to have gauges..why I am asking it's the price of the whole shabangle that's holting me..i know your kits are cheap and around 150 with EGR plate, but the pillar pod and gauges blow it all out...or would a scan gauge cover all bases in the way of the gauges..TIA.
The scan gauge wont give you egt but will give you boost
hey Paule, what I want to know is it essential to fit gauges..apparently the gu2010 spool rate is all over the place, atm the gauges bit is holding us up...so with the dawse and needle valve this should help out..?
As Paule said you can use a scan gauge but you won't get egt readings. Not essential to have egt readings but it's bloody handy too have it. I use a McNally gauge which is a two in one gauge. Analog boost and a digital egt all in the one 52mm gauge. The lot with the NAD's will set you back around the $550 mark. The biggest pain is removing the dump pipe to install the egt probe. But it's a worthy investment. Think of your egts like a thermometer for a person. It tells you a lot about how your engine is coping.
Hi guys! I just put plugs and cleaned all pipes. The sensor is left connected. That would not give an error. Everything works, the engine breathes freely.
