trade in value
it pisses me off when i take my pride and joy into looking at traiding it in as i now need a auto as i cant push clutch in anymore after 3 knee ops and they tell me that best they can do is $7000 on a 2004 gu wagon with heaps of add ons :furious:and some of the car yads have 2001 auto wagons for $20000 in bad condition
-
That's the way it goes unfortunately mate and they won't take into account what bits n pieces you added or how much they cost.
And I can bet that they wont sell any of those 2001 GUs for $20K.

i wish it was a 4.2 but happy with my 3lt

Would it be worthwhile converting it to auto mate?
-
It'll be somewhere around 5k for a reco auto install.
I'd much rather spend another 5k on the car I have because I know the history, and I have put a lot of my hard earned into it already. There's always the potential to buy a lemon if you trade in. My 2c

cost for the stuff isnt bad its the time in doing it thats the big cost

Give wholesale autos a call. Doesn't matter if your local or not, they do this conversion often. Could ask for price range/time frame

I got over $1000 more trade-in for taking all the bits off, and putting it back to standard ( from two different dealers )..... mind boggling if you think about it.
