Stumbled across this today! Thought I would share it here since I know a few of you have migs.
These guys are selling MIG gas bottles so you can buy them outright and just exchange when they are empty, saves that pesky $18 a month for rent from BOC.. Now just have to figure out what I need to weld up to use up the rest of my BOC bottle..

Good on them, hope they take business away from those that don't allow fairness in this field.

It is $339 to buy a D sized bottle outright and $99 for a refill (BOC charge me $100 for a refill and $18 per month) so after a year its a good deal I think.
The store is in Dandenong South though so a bit of a hike for you
Can't see why gas businesses don't do similar like the 9kg swap n go. Oh, yes I can, it's money, not safety :)
