Here's some car sales facts in Australia 2014 to look at.

Toyota down here in Melbourne have a similar thing, but not on a grand scale like some of these places. Driving on the Geelong Fwy passing Altona, its amazing how many car just sit there. I love scrolling around Google Maps too. Thats my way of seeing the world without leaving my chair. Cheaper too... :)
That is unbelievable and yet they keep making them and for what. Waisting all that money when there is so much poverty in the world.

Plenty out Brisbane airport way too...
Its a load of sensationalised rubbish.
Governments all over the world will not allow cars to enter without going through a bond process for import tax and homologation purposes. And like all good businesses, car makers dont like to pay until the last moment.
So cars will sit in these stores for a short period until ready to be shipped to dealers for delivery, all makes mixed together. Like the big store in altona.
When a ship turns up the stores are instantly full, they can then clear out just as quick.
I'm heading out to a ship in the next few weeks, I'll get some pics of just how monumental the scale of vehicle import is, even for a relatively small market like AUS.
