Need some advice
Hi guys, i am about to replace the worn tires on my 03 Gu 4.8l (no lift) with Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ p3's, It's currently running on Std alloys with 285/75/16 see pic, can i go up to 305's with out any trouble? after searching I have read on another forum that I can but i would like to make sure by getting someones experienced opinion other than that of the tire dealer, I am also not sure on the current rim width, i think they are 8 inch, thanks in adavnce kind regards Streetsy

It will say on the tyre what Width rim it is on the tyre

Those rims are 8" mate. As for tyres if you to keep it legal you need to stay inline with your states regulations. 305's will fit but may render the car illegal. Hopefully someone from sa can chime in about the regs.

You may find the 305 tyres will stick out fitted to the OE rims as in 16" x 8" rim
you will need a different offset to keep it inside he guards
OE mags and 285s on the left and 305 on steel rims on right

Cheers threedogs, that wide stance look is what I'm after, on the OE rims do the 305's rub at all, or if I was to replace the rims with offset rims which ones should I go, does -10 sound right

305s give the Patrol a great stance I keep forgetting the off set but 10 does ring a bell
but some one else can confirm it for us

Nice looking Patrol with 305s, I think I know what I'm getting next set. What about the speedo variation though? How far out is that?

Don't forget insurance details when running non standard.
