chat box

can someone tell me where the chat box has gone since the upgrade

forums are much more productive without chatbox, i'm a member on hundreds of boards with chatbox, I very rarely visit because lack of posts and I put that down to having a chatbox, just my thoughts anyway :)

I suggested to ab to put one on as it went really well on some of the other forums I've been on specially the newhilux forum, though I don't think it really took off here. I went on in the beginning but there was rarely any one on so I gave up visiting it

Yeah I never got into the chat box, I think it was because it was not visible from the "what's New" tab so rarely saw it. Likely the same for most that surf here using What's New.

I do most of my watching from my phone so if it doesn't pop up in front of me I tend to miss what's happening, also mc is crap at notifications anyway

Yeah I had to remove it when we upgraded the forum as it wasn't supported in the new software.

It wasn't that popular on here actually and I never bothered visiting it much either.

Another thing chatbox is very server hungry, the constant refresh is a killing on a hosting package
