I've just received a heavy duty 3 core radiator to go in a 2000 zd30.
The radiator has a pressure cap on top where the original didn't.
Is there somewhere I can run this or is it not needed/can I block the outlet off?
The radiator still has the bigger hose which runs to the top overflow tank, which has a pressure cap on it.
Sounds like you guys have similar to the Ford setup.
Can you make a 100% seal to handle high pressure??
Hope so, I'm thinking I might be able to take out the outlet nipple and put a small bolt with some thread tape in there...Quote:

This is the original. It has no outlet to the overflow.

The new radiator has this outlet to go to the overflow tank. Same setup as the old one.

That outlet goes to the top overflow tank here.

I ended up putting a small bolt in there. It was a weird thread so I had to tap it but it's all good now. Works a treat!

Mine comes from the cap. Its not a zd but still. I think my missus' olds ZD has a pipe from both. i dont really remember tho.
