FatBoyz new baby
Here's a pic of my new baby taken the day of the test drive. Trading up from a '99 GU RD28 to a 2012 GU 3.0 CRD was a real eye opener. Took over a week before I got used to the clutch and extra torque. I was looking like a learner driver for a while.

very purty in deed , let the mods begin $$$$$

Very clean mate, enjoy the building!!!

The mods started before delivery. I had them fit a snorkel and towbar pre dilivery. ARB Bullbar was preordered and part of the sale. A few weeks later the bullbar was fitted and now it looks like a real car.

Typo You mean like a real 4x4, lol,
So big difference between the 2.8 on the 3lt Crd eh
-
Yeah definately a typo. And yes, massive difference between the two vehicles. I was always pretty impressed with the 2.8, overall pretty zippy once the turbo came on song. Really suffered when you had a load on though. The 3.0 feels much better. Don't need to plan every overtaking maneuver down to the last second and most times don't even drop a gear to pass at highway speeds.

once you do EGR block and fit a 2.75" exhaust as that seems the best for the CRD, Beaudesert sell them then a chip, hang on.
You'll benefit most from doing all at the same time. EGT and boost gauge on a pillar pod would be high on my list of things to do.
easier to monitor whats happening under the bonnet

Threedogs, I just read your signature and noticed you've got a DP Chip. Are you happy with it, and did it feel like the kick in the backside that the suppliers and resellers seem to indicate you will get. I had a Beaudesert Exhaust (2.75") and DP Chip fitted about a month ago and feel a little bit cheated to be honest. I have done quite a bit of chip connected and disconnected testing and at times can't tell the difference. At other times the thing goes like a scalded cat. Although I am sure the exhaust is doing the job of getting gasses away faster and helping control the EGT, it too is a disappointment in that it sounds the same as the standard system. I had a Scotts Rods 3" on the 2.8 and if nothing else it sounded cool.

I should type faster. My previous post was being composed before your last post, so looks a bit out of order. Funny you should mention the pillar pod. Did this the weekend after the chip and exhaust went in.

Cool not sure what you mean't about the DP.
I got mine at a great price [in the trade] had it on 10 to start off with, but found it was just belching black smoke.
lately I've ran the chip on 5 for towing my single cab tub camper, I had heaps of power from 100kph on for over taking.
Just the other day I turned it up to 8 and can definitely feel the difference, I also have a tigged IC and a larger scoop on the bonnet
