Hey all,

I'm new to the Patrol forums, and currently live in NZ - don't be too hard on me you'll win the Rugby World cup next time ;)

I'm Making the move to a 4.2 GU Patrol from my current 2.5 Generation 2 Pajero (quite a step haha ;) )

Looking forward to catching up with you on the forums and might even have a wheel with you guys next time I'm in Aussie

Rusty, I had a good look at both, the Toyota has some brilliant engines but their weak front diffs turned me off quite a bit, and with the Patrol's reputation for having an indestructible driveline it was a winner :D

I was also after solid-axles, a factory turbo-diesel, coils all round and a manual transmission. So it was down to the 80 Series or the GU Patrol, and with the 80 being such an old vehicle I was really after something new and much preferred the Patrol.

Plus it looks unbeatably tough ;)
