Mesh in gq grill?
Ive done a few searches about puttin universal mesh into the grill. Not much came up. I know to cut and bend it and silicon it in or something but a few more pics would help and any advise you guys have would be great. Just thought id ask before hand because someone always has an easier way.The pics where im up to now.

Have a look in Bigrig's thread, pretty sure he's used mesh in his grill as well. Couldn't tell you where in that mammoth thread it is though and can't remember if he did a write up about it either....... Sorry, that's all I've got.

Best way is to bend over from the back and stick as you described earlier.
I tried making an insert with this stuff yrs ago.
hard to do and keep it neat/straight.
but you still need to fix it in place, an insert is a hard to get a neat tidy look, not boy racer.
Humm, maybe using the piece you removed as a template.
and bending it over that may have a result.
you may have to trim it first to allow for the thickness of mesh for an insert, possibly to tight to fit.
can tell you now, an insert the sharp edges on mesh will scratch the grill on insertion if not extremely careful.
placement from behind will do less damage as cut ends go in last.
a flap disc on grinder would help remove sharp points
the process would proberly render the mesh piece useless for reuses if it doesn't work.

Go To a sheetie and get some small expanded metal.
Depends what look your after, could go custom and drill pattern into it
would make it stand out from the others, Thats what I'd do just make sure
you have plenty of air flow. powder coat any colour you like
