Not a dog owner but thats bloody cruel. To both the dog and the owner. Where you here this info from?
There's a story about this doing the rounds. I'm not quite sure of its validity though as I heard it in relation to the southern suburbs, then the Mornington Peninsula and now the northern suburbs.
My suspicion is that it is an Internet hoax/urban myth.

There was a name and shame with a front on pic of a guy on face book last night. I'll see if I can find it in my news feed and figure out how to post it here.
I think this is disgusting, they should throw the p¥€£^s in the ring with one and see who wins.

Some of my sons friends told him who told me.
They use the small farms out Werribee and Laverton, but small group that move fast I would think.

Peeps, please don't believe everything you hear. Many of these sort of stories have been doing the rounds for years.
Snopes is an excellent place to go and check suspected BS or urban myths.
