starter motor?
hey guys need some help diagnosing a problem. have just replaced my alternator and battery in the last couple of weeks and now im thinking my starter motor is rat shit. took a bit while to start than usual this morning, stopped and started another 2 times and now it wont crank, just clicking. connections to the starter seem sweet, gave em a clean up, so does it sound like im up for a new one? any help would be awesome. cheers

Try giving the starter motor a couple of hits with a hammer.
TB or TD?

TD yeah gave it a couple of belts, no good but :(

What's the voltage reading across the battery? and the reading across the battery when you try to start the vehicle?
Make sure both battery terminals are clean and tight.
Check the earth connection to the engine. If you have jumper leads connect one end to the negative battery post and the other end to the engine.
If battery is OK and it still plays up remove starter motor and inspect.
Been playing in any mud holes lately?

If the carbon on the electrical motor gets worn, the springs might not have enough length to make a good connection. If hitting it with a hammer (and maybe a beam) helps, this is probably the case. replacing the carbon might be more worry than replacing the motor.
