A rapid 2 second shudder

Whilst driving on the Hway I get a shudder through the steering like I have gone over the edge lines on the Hway the ones that make a noise. I last for 1/2 seconds the goes for random intervals only to do the same again?

Which one are you in the SWB MAV or the LWB GQ???

could be bearings or a bush is failing, look at the control arm bushes first, then bearings & kingpin bearings

does it always happen at the same speed? every time I get a wobble at 90kph I know I've got bushes wearing out. for me its usually the top panhard bush.

No the speed when it happens is varied, and yes it is an auto. I did notice that when towing the Lwb Patrol home the MAverick struggled up hill.

Oh yes the bushes are new urethane ones throughout.

Are all the rims tight. Jack front off the ground and check free play, up and down and sideways

I would be thinking along the same lines as Scottie hence why I originally asked if it was the Mav or GQ, I just assumed the SWB Mav was manual, sorry I should of asked if it was auto or manual to start with.

When its cold the power is down until it has run for 5 mins.
