Safari in Romania
Finally, the right car for me!
After a year full of events (mariage, a baby), a year without great offroad trips as usual, a year of driving a Toyota HJ60 and a Patrol RD28T, I did my best and found a Nissan Safari to feel happy again.:049:
I imported it from UK, and bring it in Romania on it's own wheels. It runs great for 3000 kms, so I am satisfyed!
It had small problems (i changed the waterpump and I think the alternator is not great, because some lights on the dash board are on and when I accelerate they go off), but anyway, the engine, automatic gearbox and axles are great and it only had 3 rust spots I had repaired already!
The interior was not so clean and it had a big rip in the driver's seat, but it was repaired and cleaned in an afternoon, after a couple of beers.
I need to "grow it up", mounting a lift kit, some new bigger wheels and a winch, to solve the alternator problem and ... lot of things that I can't think about right now.... Until than, here are some photos:

Good to se you're back into it. No doubt the young family will create some great experiences around the safari. You go hard and be sure to keep us informed of your adventures and mods.
Finally thanks for sharing from Romania!
