Thought I'd put up some pics of my Patrol with new wheels, rubber & with factory flares fitted, now that I've got the blue crap off the lettering with the Gerni. (Thanks TD).
Tyres are Bridgestone D697 All Terrains 265/75 16 & rims are 16 x 8 ROH Black Trak2 16 x 8's.
First a 'before' pic (with 5.5" split rims & Bridgestone 661's 235/85)

And now

I mentioned yesterday there was a problem fitting the new wheels/tyres onto the dual rear carriers.
These are the 'old' tyres - note the gap between the upright post & the tyre.

The problem with the new tyres was that their front lower edge fouled the back of the canopy making it impossible to get them fully upright, however I thought there was probably a 10% chance that a little fettling with the angle grinder might give me the clearance I needed. At this point I was still unsure if the tyre would still be too wide. The next pic shows the old split rim centre. Note that the centre hole is not round, but rather has 'raised' sections next to each stud hole protruding into the centre.

Those raised sections were enough to allow the wheel to sit square over the guide at the top of the hole (see above) onto the holder once the nuts were done up.
The hole centre of the ROH wheels is round, without those raised sections/cut outs. I thought if I 'radiused' the guide, it might allow the wheel to bolt flat against the holder, which might, if I was lucky, give just enough clearance to allow me to get the wheel vertical.

Sometimes you just gotta get lucky! :)

Not a lot of room to spare though!
