96 gq ute nick named "FOUR PLAY"

Hey guys been on this forum for a while now decided to start a thread about my ute
i bought it after my commodore was written off
i had wanted a 4x4 for a while most my friends had one and i was always going out camping and 4x4ing as a passanger
so i decided ill buy a patrol as ive always loved them
its a 1996 coil cab dx ute td4.2 diesel with just over 250 xxx kms
so far it is pritty stock,
has a steel bullbar,
exedy safari tuff clutch,
ironman airtec snorkel,
3inch super flex lift with half inch coil spacers,
cheap ironman spotlights,
31" hercules trail diggers,
spare tire hardmounted in middle of tray,
weather sheilds
toolbox for recovery gear tools and some camping gear,
sony headunit with polk audio splits marine rated and a clarion amp under passanger seat(for now)

things ive got laying around i need to fit,
uhf
diffs,gearbox and transfer case extended breathers
80 series rear bumpstops
superior engineering rear coil tower brace

plans:
winch bar brush bars and rock sliders from offroad division(in the process of ordering winch bar now)
tigerz11 12,000lb winch
duel battery kit
get rid of middle seat for 2 single seats and a centre console
extractors and custom short exhaust
new paint job (thinking baby blue with tray,rims and barwork all black)
modify and try to save the tray from rust want to make it last me a few more yrs as i cant weld or afford for someone to make me a new tray just yet
midnight express tint
LED lightbar roof mounted
good set of spoties
33" tyres on sunnys
dash pod from dept of interior
long range fuel tank
50ltr(atleast) water tank with 12v pump
mudguard toolboxes(not sure what they are called lol)
eventually want to turbo it but i want reliability over power at the moment as i plan on a cape trip next yr

Typical QLD bullbar, must have big critters up that way, doing Cape York as well next year around Aug or Sept. 4 trucks going last count. last did the cape in 83, bloody awesome trip still talk about it. don't forget all that space under your tray. should look awesome when finished, well done mate

haha yeah mate im not a big fan of the bullbar but it beats no front end protection for now

what about a tube style bar? you don't have airbag issues, 3" lift you dont need it to look like a skateboard, nice and soft, checkout any VIC comp truck, still winning in mighty GQs

Op loc have one as well as the Cheesy one, plenty of clearance up front.

yeah im still looking around at the moment gettin quotes on a few different bars but the OD bar is winning atm love the look of it

Hey mate give us a bell if you're going 4bying on the weekend if you're up in the ville, i've got a fairly stock GQ wagon, but it still goes alright.
