Power supply to air compressos

G,day Trolers,

I am making myself a set of rear draws and am planing on mounting an air compressor on the side.
My question is what size cable do I need to run from the 2nd battery (behind passinger headlight) to
the back of the shorty. I plan on putting 4 x 12v sockets to plug in camera chargers and led camp lights etc.. and have put led lights in the draws.

Do you think this cable on ebay will do the job?.

yep that wire would be fine. Remember though you can grab an earth from the back of your car somewhere so you really only need to be running the positive all the way from the front. The bigger the better to reduce voltage drop mate for a compressor. they can draw a heap. Go Large. Single wire would be fine, save yourself some cash.

Thanks mate Ill do what you said and run just the one wire and pick up an earth at the back.

im a bit puzzeld as to why you have lights on the bottom of ur set up ,the draws will cover ,oh dont worry i get it doh its upside down oh boy ,its beer oclock i think ,nice touch mate

Make sure you put a fuse in the line close to the battery, that way if any part of the power cable gets shorted out you are protected.

this is what i ran 6B&S. I placed a fuse block with earth connectors at the back end, to connect all my accessories to.(Fused separately, based on requirement). also agree with AB Fuse at battery, that 6 B&S can carry a fare bit of juice and you don't want that finding its way to you.
