you can get an LED conversions light pack to go straight in as a replacement mate. Ebay.

COuld be the clucth pedal spring... used to happen on commodore quite a bit... bit of Wurth HHS2000 squirted on it seemed to fix it

Sounds like you are asking about the right adjuster.
Playing with adjuster can lead to oil leak from here, as the o-ring have aged I guess.Manual warns of posible leak, if adjusted, and mine did....
