I think the biggest drama you will have is for the kickdown of the auto. The rest should be pretty straight forward. If it was me I would be manualising the valve body and putting in a TC lockup...

I remember someone telling me you can scrub/sand the white to clean/renew the white lettering.
As it comes away to reveal fresh new white.
Need a steady hand one would think.

240 grit wet and dry on a sanding block with running water makes quick work of it. I'mm getting some STT's next week I'll let you know.

Use a high pressure water blaster at close range, a little bit of degreaser helps too

Have they changed the paint .
I had trouble removing it some yrs ago.
It didn't want to come off at all.
Took more like 20 washes and scrubbing and still was visible.
Take it back...

Silly question, but you haven't thrown a wheel weight have you? A bumpy road and a loose wheel weight could end like this for sure. Check your wheel balance.
