I drive the same as you ,mine is a 5/04.
Ive fitted dimple drilled and slotted rotors
with pads for about $100 a corner, IMO great
and would be better with braided lines

He needs particular shaped hoses Jonathan. Best to get rubber hoses mate, I once used silicone and because it wasn't an exact fit and the inlet still does get a little oily, even with a catch can,...
VPW in Epping is the cheapest I have found and have just about every shape you can think of..

If it is a mechanical gauge you only need a power source from the lights... the dimmer is an easy one if you have a GU
First piece of advise from your local is good advice. The second is rubbish and the last about the standard temp gauge is pure bollocks.
For the second comment, well yeah you don't "need" an EGT...
So you remove intercooler... tape up both ends... put it in a tub of water.. then preasurise it using either a bike pump or in my case an air gun making sure to only feather the trigger... then look...
With MR possible hose split or from running big boost split the IC open a bit more.
You can remove the IC and check in water with a bike pump, make sure its dry before you replace
it a hair dryer...

Hay mate - I'm no expert, but it sounds like the turbo isn't kicking in to me. It will be interesting to see what your boost is when you fit your gauge. Oil leak from the I/C isn't a problem but air...
