If the tensioner is Gates branded you should be fine. Last time I looked at Gates tensioners, when they first did them about three years ago, they were dearer than OEM. Looks like they are back on...

how do you know it was new? was it in packaging? there should have been some printing on the back of the belt?

Possible a faulty ECU relay or the main ECU earths on RHS of the engine are loose or corroded.

Always good for a conversation when you ask about oils. I use Penrite HPR10 10W40 and the capacity is 8.5 ltrs, If you do filters or course its a bit more. Just coming up on 190000kms BTW.

once you get the boost under control you'll be right 15psi is about right but some are 12-13 psi depends on the motor.
