I think the D4D3.0L of the toyotas is a far worse motor - injectors, oil cooler, turbo, weak heads - the list is endless...

I use contact cleaner on the maf every oil change, only because it's half the price of MAF cleaner. It's probably the same thing and is safe to use on all electronics and switches in your vehicle...
